Well, classmates, you are reading the shortest column turned out on my watch, which began in the summer of 1989. Please respond to this entreaty by sending me news about yourself, your family, your classmates, etc. I am only the recorder—you guys must provide the news.

Jay Chandler writes to bring us up to date once again in the medical field. He reports that Burt Onofrio is vice chairman of the department of neurosurgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The Mayo Foundation board of trustees has named him the Alfred Ulhlein Family Professor in Neurologic Surgery. Jay states that Burt is the Clinic's back specialist without peer and that he has trained many fine neurosurgeons in back procedures over the last 23 years.

Jay and Fleur attended the wedding of Sam Trock and Denise Scrivens in June at Villa Villa restaurant in New York City where Sam's daughter Stephanie is the executive chef. Jay relates that Denise is a fine professional, an operating room senior nurse much admired for her ability. Sam is once again practicing medicine, as assistant medical director of the Physicians Health Program of the Medical Society of New Jersey. The program involves rehabilitation and treatment of physicians impaired through substance abuse.

Both Dave Mandelbaum and Dick Page sent me newspaper clippings about FrankWright. Flight International Group recently named Frank president and chief executive officer. The company is a provider of flight and training services to government agencies and private companies.

The College sent me a letter from Betty Wagner, widow of our deceased classmate, Ronald Wagner. Betty related that Ron believed strongly in supporting Dartmouth and will try to match his record for giving regularly to the Alumni Fund. With that, she enclosed a check for the 1991 Fund. Thanks Betty, and please keep in touch with the class.

Another of my duties is to provide a continuing record of die passing of our classmates as we advance down life's path. In recent months, we have learned of the deaths of ReedBaird, Richard Butera, David Guthrie,Hilary Lynch, and Clyde Roach. Obituaries will appear in later issues.

By the way, if you are still feeling young or, perhaps, just short of middle age, consider the admission policy of the New Jersey theme park, Six Flags Great Adventure. All those 55 and over are considered "elderly," and eligible for half price admission!
