The Boston Globe reports that Peter Roby has resigned from his position as Harvard's basketball coach to become manager of basketball promotions at Reebok International of Stoughton. Peter will not only be marketing Reebok products, he will conduct clinics for the coaches. Under Peter's tutelage, Harvard improved its place in the League every season and defeated Princeton four times during the last five years. Peter previously served as assistant coach at Dartmouth, Army, and Stanford.
Joe Neuhaus has been re-elected to the American Judicature Society Board of Directors. Founded in 1913, the Society is a national independent organization of more than 20,000 concerned citizens working to improve the nation's justice system. Among its lofty goals are creating greater public understanding of the rule of the courts, selecting judges for their professional qualifications, protecting judicial independence and improving court systems. Joe, a former law clerk to Justice Powell, practices with Sullivan Cromwell in New York. He has served as secretary of the Association of the Bar of the City of Newark's Committee on the Second Century and is the co-author of a commentary on international arbitration. Nutrogena Corp. in L.A. has named Martha Pease as senior vice president of marketing.
Linda Button, director of communications at WNBC in New .York has joined SMASH Advertising Inc. as a partner. And as a result, SMASH has become NBC's agent and consultant for advertising, promotion and marketing (There must be another newsworthy dimension of this deal—e.g., a kickback, etc.). Linda was hauled into NBC's flagship station last year to overhaul the advertising and promotion department.
