Greetings from Atlanta! It's fall and Atlanta is going crazy over the Braves. It's great to finally have a winning team! First, news of myself. After a one-year rotation in corporate finance, I am making the move permanent and will be staying in the Atlanta office of Prudential Capital. Although I enjoyed my three years in Prudential's real estate investment area, I am excited about the opportunity to stay in corporate finance. Now for news of other '78s. Anne Bagamery sent me news from Paris that she and Alan Hoffman are the proud parents of a new baby girl. They are enjoying die fun (and exhausting) aspects of parenthood.

Having no other news in my mailbox, I called Peggy Thorndike Lindberg. She is teaching science at a private elementary school in St. Paul. She and her husband, Dave '76 have two children (eight and ten years old). Peggy maintains a busy schedule with teaching, motherhood, and working towards her master's in education.

I found Robert McCarthy at home in Denver, Colo. Robert is playing Mr. Mom for his two daughters (five years and 18 months), and working on healthcare venture capital opportunities with several associates, all of whom are alumni of American Hospital Supply. Robert keeps up with Bruce Rauner who lives in Chicago and is also in venture capital.

I found Steve Palmer at home outside Annapolis. He has one son, 21 months old, and is looking forward to the birth of his second child in April. While Steve and Barbara are enjoying the kids, parenthood has cut down on adventure travel like the sailing trip to Bermuda two years ago. Steve works in corporate banking at the Mercantile Bank in Baltimore and is also active in Dartmouth Alumni Club activities there. He stays in touch with TedOlson, who is director of marketing and advertising for Jos. A. Banks Clothiers. So think of Ted when you're in the store buying your corporate uniform! Steve also reported on Chris Rizek, who is working as an attorney in Washington. Steve's sister played matchmaker for Chris and his wife several years ago.

I found Tim Patrick-Miller at home in Princeton, N.J. After graduating from Duke Med School, Tim has settled into a pediatrics practice with a group of six doctors. It sounds like Tim has an active practice, and he runs into a fair number of '78s, including Andy Ebbott, when they bring their kids in for treatment. Tim and his wife, Linda, aren't tied down with children yet, so they are still able to travel. Two years ago they took a trip to Peru.

Finally, I caught Lee Potter at home in Greensboro, N.C. Lee completed landscape studies and is now working as a landscape designer. Her husband, Gary Rogers, is a geologist with Ebasco. She went along with Gary to a geology conference in Minneapolis this summer and stayed with Cathy Anson and PeterVaughn and their sons Angus 1 and Elliott 3. Cathy and Peter caught her up on news of other '78s, including Ellen Petersen, who is starting law school.

Well that's the news. Send more! Remember our reunion is coming up this June. After reunion, I plan to retire after ten years as cosecretary of our class. Any aspiring secretaries out there should give it some thought and let me or Jim Bullion know if you're interested.
