Recent Alumni Fund correspondence from Harry "Brose" Ambrose revealed a new address in Glencoe, Illinois. It seems that last year Continental Grain transferred Harry from his previous post in New York with the World Oil Seeds group to the World Milling Group in Chicago. He is involved with feed and flour milling and with the cattle and hog business. According to Harry, he is really doing what he likes best, buying and selling. Harry and Margy have recently moved to a new home which they are in the process of restoring. The Ambrose offspring are now independent. Julie is married with two children in Virginia Beach; Colin has a career in magazine advertising sales; and Rebecca is a math teacher in San Francisco. Harry sees Jim Nelson and Joe Mathewson from time to time, and he is expecting a visit from John Demas, who is on the recovery from his recent illness

Another classmate has joined the ranks of the retired, Swift Lawrence has taken early retirement from his position as chairman, CEO, and president of the Attleboro Pawtucket Savings Bank. Swifry will continue to assist the bank with some consulting projects, and will continue to serve on several Boards in the community. He and Kit are planning to spend time on board their recently acquired 36-foot ketch and may even get as far as the Caribbean this winter. Swifty's family includes daughter Marcia '80, married with six children, and sons Steve, following his dad in the banking business in Nashua, and Jim '82, selling real estate in Boston.

Retirement has not put a damper on classmate Jack Cogswell. The publishers of "Who's Who in America" have announced that Jack is included in the forty-sixth edition for 1990-91. Congratulations, Jack.

I had the opportunity to spend two very pleasant weekends in Hanover this spring. The first was for Class Officers Weekend at the end of April. Present from the class of 1955 were Bob Fanger, Ralph Sauter, JohnFrench, Skip Hance, and myself. Thanks to the presence of undergraduate family and family friends of Bob Fanger, we had a chance to mingle informally with some very delightful, bright, attractive young men and women. There is no doubt in my mind that Dartmouth continues to attract some of our best young people and instill in them the same pride in the institution that we have. And this past weekend, Ruth and I attended the graduation of our daughter Karen '86 from Tuck School. Another lovely June Hanover weekend finishing with the traditional Baker Lawn Ceremony.

Class Newsletter Editor John Dinan and I would appreciate any news items about yourselves or other classmates. Please send them to us using the green cards enclosed with the newsletter.
