55 There has been very little direct input from the class this summer, so I have resorted to perusing the class list and randomly selecting individuals to call for an update. The first this month was Wes Bruner in Chevy Chase, Md. After finishing the Tuck/ Thayer program, Wes spent 20 months on active duty with the Air Force, then joined Westinghouse as a development engineer involved with Advanced Radar Design on such programs as AWACS. And 36-plus years later, he is still overseeing electronic development programs and attempting to move technology into new, non-defense markets. Wes and Libby, who is a school health administrator, have two children. Daughter Elizabeth recently graduated from Occidental College, and son Terry is a sophomore at Davidson. Wes enjoys golfing and continues to participate in a lunchtime bridge game that has been in progress for 30 years, with annual scoring. From time to time, he sees Paul Mannes, who is a judge in Maryland.

He served at the White Church in Hanover until 1973, then had a pastorate in Binghamton, N.Y., and has been in Groton for 13 years. Jim and his wife, Pat, who is the administrator and a therapist for a family counseling ministry, have four children and several grandchildren. Their children are pursuing diverse careers including teaching at St. Bonaventure College, serving on the faculty of the Upstate Medical Center, and doctoring in the army. They are looking forward to retirement in two or three years, and then they plan to build a home in Tennessee.
Dick Bueschel and Millie have lived in Hanover for the last 25 years. Dick has had a career as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist and has been involved in a number of businesses including real estate, computers, and other high-tech companies, and more recendy has been serving on the boards of small companies. A FAX machine, a PC, and frequent air service to the East Coast allow the Bueschels to live in Bermuda for five months of the year with the balance in Hanover. Dick and Millie have two children and a three-year-old grandchild. Dick keeps up his tennis game and has contact with several classmates including Cyril Muromcew, Ron Campion, TomByrne, Charlie Williams, and Frank Tapper, whom he sees in Bermuda. Dick would be delighted to see anyone visiting in Bermuda in the winter and spring. He is listed in the telephone book.
