"I don't care what you say, so long as you spell my name right,"Jeff Sas-fo-rossi, this reporter's most valued source of newsworthy items, recently admonished. So sorry Sassorossi. I just wish you had called sooner. Having cleared up that sore spot, assorossi gave me the scoop on Classofficer's Weekend 1991. Apparently President Roger Clarkson and Newsletter Editor Al Austin were there along with Jeff. Head moneyman Jim Bildner RSVP'd yes and pulled a no-show (you know how busy he is). Me, I was enjoying a weekend away from Elizabeth and Andrew with Lou Ann in Sonoma.

Speaking of our newsletter editor, Al gets a major-league wah-hoo-wah for his latest installment of VOX '75, a true masterpiece. Al, you missed your calling; you should have been an editor... which is a natural segue into this tidbit on my former roommate at 19 Hookah, former newsletter editor and former editor of the Manchester Union Leader CharliePerkins, known better to some as The Fuzz. Charlie has been tapped by William Zeliff, a Republican Congressman from New Flampshire's first district, to head up his Manchester office, working mosdy on issues. Charlie survived some tough competition Zeliff had over 1,000 job applications and conducted 250 interviews to identify the 12 fulltime staffers he selected. Congratulations, Fuzzy, and good luck!

I also had the pleasure of seeing another former roommate this week. Tim Frey, his wife, Lisa, and daughter Hannah treated me to a wonderful dinner in Philadelphia on a recent business trip. Tim is a partner in the municipal finance department at the Philly law firm Saul, Ewing, where he can be found when not immersed in his other (current) obsessions, gardening and Mozart. Tim informs me that our debate buddy, politico Tom Foley, (no, not that Tom Foley) has just been appointed Secretary of Labor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Who knows, maybe he will become Speaker of the House.

Word comes from Vancouver, Wash., that Bob Jackson has recently taken up residence, having relocated from Pittsburgh to become president and CEO of Lumber Systems Inc. I hear that Bob is building a house one would suppose out of wood, given the product he peddles. One would be wrong. Bob is using brick construction.

Poet David Graham was recently honored by the Devil's Millhoper Press, which chose his manuscript Doggedness from nearly 450 entries as the winner in their 1989 chapbook contest. You all know what a chapbook is, don't you? As you are no doubt aware, Mr. Graham is a widely published poet who is an assistant professor of English at Ripon College in Wisconsin.

Will Hendren's brother David wrote me that Will and his wife, Linda, moved to Villanova, Penn., last summer. Will is practicing cardiac surgery in Philadelphia and Linda is busy with Amy 6, Katie 3, and Julie 1. Thanks, David, for saving Will from the list of the most incommunicado.

I am very sorry to report the recent death of our classmate George Barlow. Many of you will remember George from the Dartmouth Players' production of Guys andDolls. He was a friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

The sun does arise and make happy the skies; The merry bells ring to welcome the spring; The skylark and thrush, the birds of the bush Sing louder around to the bells' chearful sound While our sports shall be seen on the Ecchoing Green
