With deep sadness we must report that on June 29 our dear Nancy Larsen Holbrook ended her long and valiant struggle with bone cancer. The many members of the Dartmouth community who enjoyed the Holbrooks' warm hospitality over the years and those of us who experienced Nancy's happy hostessing of 1920's 70th Reunion last year will find it hard to accept the extinction of that blithe spirit.

Gifts in Nancy's memory may be made to the Amerfcan Cancer Society, for which she was a long-time fundraiser, or to the Memorial Fund of Hanover's St. Thomas Church, of which she and Pat were loyal members.

No one can take Nancy's place, but I'll try to cariy on with this column as long as you send me news and thoughts, and will continue to write class obituaries as necessary.
