1920

I was elated to received in June a cheerful note from Patricia Andretta Butler with the comment, "I was so pleased to see the 1920 column in the special issue of the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, with my piece about Sal [Andretta], and to learn that he was my father and not my husband—a bow to my youthful age, no doubt. I will see that it gets to his son Gage for his memoirs." My face was red! I should have checked the relationship instead of assuming that Pat used her maiden name as her middle name, as I do mine. Thank you, Pat, for the gentle rebuke!
