31 As reported in John Chamberlin's June newsletter, Margaret Bean will be helping John as his co-editor. May I add my request to '31 ladies to let her know your latest news and views?

Dick Graen '34, brother of our Ed, sent an article from Tuck News about JimLyall's 60th Reunion memorabilia. Included was the passport of Jim's grandfather which had been visaed by Edward Tuck, founder of Tuck, on October 3, 1865, in Paris, where Tuck was American vice-counsul.

At the U.S. Open in Pebble Beach I carefully, but unsuccessfully, searched the galleries for Frank Rogers. Were you there, Frank?

Continuing from the returned 60th Reunion questionnaires: Bernie Boyle hoped the College would control The Review, and that the Dave Lovelands would move to a neighboring retirement community. EdBrummer's biggest worry of the future was homogenized mass culture. A1 Bucher complained that he can't find anyone to listen to his complaints, and he needs a new left shoulder blade so that he can resume flying. Phil Clisby registered disgust with the way things are going in Hanover. Stephen Clow said he had no worries about the future. JackCole asked the class to help eliminate The Review. George Conklin was proud of his grandchildren making top honors and expressed a similar opinion of The Review. Charlie Warne reported an advance in medicine where one can break an ankle and not need a cast. Betty Walter hopes she won't see the year 2000, but surely she can't mean it with all the good things the candidates for high office are promising us for the years ahead. Charlie Vetter asks President Freedman to put more emphasis on teaching and less on research. Wally Thorsen has joined the pacemaker club. Bill Thornley regrets the demise of the Dartmouth Indian and asks the College, "Please, less minority guidance in College affairs." Elizabeth Symonds tells each of us to live each day "as if it were your last." And Annette Swift, with greetings to all, reminds the College that the future is progress.
