Lem Bowen represented our class at a special dedication of the E.K. Hall-Gordon P. Bennett Lounge in the Davis Varsity House on October 26. The expansion of the Gordon P. Bennett '37 Memorial Lounge to become the Hall-Bennett Lounge was made possible by the generosity of E.K. Hall's daughter, Dorothy, and her husband, Larry Leavitt '25. Russ Stearns and Fran Fenn were consulted on this before the change took place and agreed with Lem that the expansion was beneficial to the Bennett Lounge. Larry Leavitt thanked the class of 1937 for their graciousness in surrendering a portion of the Gordon Bennett memorial to honor Mr. Hall, and said that he was sure Mr. Hall would have been pleased to have his name associated in this endeavor with a young man of Gordon's caliber.

Ben Doran reported the Elbe Trip a great success despite the low water in the Elbe River which caused more travel by busses and less on the river. Classmates enjoying the trip were: Roily and Sherry Bialla, Ben and Barbara Cardozo, Ben and Marge Doran, Fran and Mary Fenn, Roily and Belem Kent, Flo Moore, Tom and Janet Nast, Carol and Taffy Noyes, Brad and Mary Peterson, and Connie Sayre.

Dave Camerer quicUy responded to the 12th-man Princeton game story in the October column. Dave says he and Joe Handrahan recall the drunk was there for only one play before the police dragged him off. The story is now straight, Dave, and it was confirmed in a letter from Eddie Chamberlain '36, a teammate in that epic game in the snow at Palmer Stadium.

Johns Hopkins University has awarded the 1991 Albert Schweitzer Prize for Humanitarianism to Chick Koop. Congratulations, Chick, for being honored with this prestigious award. "What emerges from this forthright narrative is a self-portrait of a man dedicated to medicine, possessing integrity, strong religious faith, and a strict sense of responsibility to the body politic," is the review of Koop by Rotary Magazine. Jack Devlin bought four copies and has given three to his favorite doctors. I'm giving a copy to my grandson, who is planning on a career in medicine.

While proofreading the 1992 class directory, which I hope you received in December, I note that five classmates live in foreign countries. They are Bob Ewing in South Africa; Roily Kent in Mexico City; Bill Lyons in London; Warren Meredith in France; and Chuck Sine in Alberta, Canada.

Calling all skiers for the Third Annual Dartmouth Reunion on Skis at Crested Butte, Colo., for a week starting March 30. Jack Devlin skied there last year and has recruited John Ward and Carl Erdman for this year's event, which is organized by Dartmouth Travel.
