On pages 375 and 376 of the new 1991 Alumni Directory are listed the names of 256 classmates. Fifty-four of these are listed in the alphabetical index without addresses. Of those 54, some 44 have expressed that they have no further interest in Dartmouth, but we ask the help of you out there in locating the remaining: George Amos, Chojen Chen,Joseph Choate, Walter Gehring, HowardKaiser, Seiberth Kety, John O'Connor,Winship Reed, John Seymour, and RobertWhite.

Dave Borkum once -again claims the lead in the 1931 Great-Grandchildren Sweepstakes with eight, plus one due in April. Challengers for 1992? Dave's note reminded me of the Alumni Fund, and of an advertisement in Dartmouth Medicine for gifts to the Dartmouth Medical School 1991-92 Annual Fund,"... the dean is allocating annual giving to scholarship support again this year. Your gift will directly benefit those students who qualify for scholarship aid." This prompts me to invite your comments on whether such allocation should be made of your gifts to our Alumni Fund, as your opinions could be most helpful to the College.

Winnie Campbell wrote that soon after Ned's funeral she went out to Scottsdale, where Ned and she always wintered. There she has friends and a married daughter, so she's been busy.

From my mine of returned 60th Reunion questionnaires, here are some reports from '31ers from whom news in recent years has been scarce.

Health care costs are worrying BeverlyZinn down in Dallas. Maybe more worrisome is what Washington will come up with' for all of us after the November election.

Despite the liberation of Eastern Europe, Bob Asher's views of the future on October 19, 1990, were not optimistic. Subsequent international events, we hope, have brightened his outlook. On the current political turmoil perhaps Bob could give us his comments from his perspective inside the beltway.
