Clyde Dietz called me as soon as he received his copy of the March issue of the Alumni Magazine. He was thrilled to see his name in print, and he has offered himself as a guest speaker anywhere in the world. He would prefer a Mediterranean climate or an ocean resort, and he claims to be qualified to speak on any subject that exists.
Marshall Wallach, president of Wallach Co., a Denver investment banking company, has been named as a member of the board of directors for Kaiser Steel Resources Inc. Marshall is as famous as Clyde, and he should send us more details about his life adventures and his family.
Laurence Manchester has been named director for Standish, Avery & Wood Inc. Tell us about the rest of the family.

Who says that youth is wasted on the young? Recently, some of the "mature" men of our era proved that we could still smash a little rubber ball. On January 2 the Dartmouth Varsity Squash team played a match against a team of alumni at the Apawamis Club in Rye, N.Y. Sven Karlen and John Daily represented the "mature" team as the alumni prevailed, winning seven of die ten singles matches and all three of the doubles. It is pleasant to believe that the younger men tried their best. It is wonderful to know that we can still give the youngsters a contest.
Ken McGruther (born February 2 7,1943) has volunteered to organized the 50th birthday bash for the class of '65. He suggests that we "try for something we have always wanted to do, but have never gotten around to." Ken is looking for ideas and classmates who have a "let's do it" attitude. Call Ken at (719) 597-0189 if you have an idea.
Larry Duffy keeps himself busy as the director of external relations for Boston College Law School. In his spare time he plays golf and maintains an involvement with neighborhood and community issues. Larry has some suggestions on how to celebrate our 50th birthday, coming up soon for most of us. He sees golf balls flying at a place near the Atlantic Ocean and a few side excursions to Boston and New York City. "Duff' responded to Bruce Jolly's questionnaire with the following insight. Question: Is Dartmouth better or worse than it was in 1965? His answer: Neither better nor worse. It remains a national institution in tune with the times.
