It may surprise some classmates thatjordy Green has temporarily placed his career in politics on the back burner; however, he is continuing to demonstrate his leadership skills. According to George Dunston, whom my sources (who will remain anonymous) nicknamed the "great embellisher," Jordy is working at an investment bank in Hungary, with 200 people working for him. Getting down and dirty John "Droopy" Austen spends his days out on the floor working the sweat shop at a Reebok factory in Bangkok.
A number of '91 s headed back to school this fall. Adding to the list mentioned in my last column, Taylor Keene will be joining the crowd at Harvard Business School, and DonMunoz is now at Columbia B-school. SteveKahl is starting a Ph.D. program in philosophy at the University of Minnesota, and he and Rob Mairs recently got an apartment together. They encourage any Dartmouth alums in the Twin Cities area to look them up.
Those of us who are American League East fans have had a very exciting baseball season, but keep an eye on the National League West for Brad Ausmus. Oliver Gaulston, who is working for the San Diego Padres front office, passed along word that Brad, who was recently traded for a pitcher, is now batting .296 and playing catcher for the Padres. Elsewhere in the wide world of sports, RayPugsley was supposedly trying out for the Olympic team in the Steeplechase. I haven't heard the results, but I'll keep you posted.
In other random news, Allison Lynn is still in New York at People magazine. I heard through the grapevine that Katie Campbell is getting married to a Dartmouth '88. And rumor has it that John Goodchild is also engaged.
With Homecoming just around the corner, many of us start feeling a bit nostalgic for the foliage, football games, bonfire, and other memories that we associate with fall in Hanover. As you start reminiscing, take a moment to think about who you shared those special times with, and where they are now, and then jot your thoughts down and send them to me. If you're wondering where someone is, I can help you get in touch with those who seem to be MIA. Big thanks to Steve Kahl and Rob Mairs for their assistance!
