Parenthood. Multiple midle night and mid-morning feedings. Although I'll acknowledge the "bonding" aspect of it all, getting up at 2:30 a.m. to pour another "6 to 8 ounces" of Similac into my son is about as refreshing as sharing a locker next to Lee "Snackbar" Sedberry. Speaking of Snackbar, I am informed that he is not making his living as a roaming security specialist in the southwest for Vendomatic Snack-food Machine Inc. Rather, Lee is succeeding in his own commercial real-estate business in the Albuquerque area. Lee and his wife, Monnette, have two children, daughter Chenelle and son Leland Sedberry IV, a.k.a. "Mini Snackbar."

Back to parenthood. Gail Kezer Lowe is living in Brunswick, Maine, with fellow attorney husband Peter (whom she lured from England) and her sons Duncan 3 and Jasper 1. Gail has jumped from the frying pan into the fire by leaving the practice of law for the time being in order to devote herself to her kids. Gail informs me that Wendy Terlizzi has married fellow '82 Randy Gordon, and they are currently living in Portugal with their baby daughter, Summer. Additionally, Ann Lindley and her husband, Carlos, live in Madrid, Spain, and are the parents of one-year-old Maria.

Back to the mainland. Renee Sullivan is running her own veterinarian practice in Malibu, Calif. Renee specializes in horses and is daily reminded of some of her '82 classmates when she looks at a particular end of the horse. Although she enjoys the weather, she's contemplating moving her practice out of California in the near future. Renee tells me that Karl Klug is nearby at UCLA doing some kind of "highly esoteric ocular research," which, as Karl reports to Renee, "has absolutely no significant application whatsoever."

Speaking of significant application, SteveZilber is living in the Cleveland, Ohio, area and is running five of his own companies which deal with artificial intelligence, lighting, design, and architecture. Steve has the inventor's bug and is currently working on a dawn simulator project. The project focuses on the effect of circadian rhythms and lighting on the quality of sleep experienced by a person who does not sleep the standard eight hours a night. For example, those who work the graveyard shift or "lose time" as a result of jet lag. It's Steven's goal to help eradicate the effect of sleep fatigue on the body. Steve's reportedly mulling over the possibility of doing trial runs with the machine on fraternity row in Hanover.

From the practical to academia. CharlieOberndorf is teaching English at the University Prep School in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. Steve Zilber reports that Charlie has just written his second novella, entitled Testing, which deals with ethics and moral testing in the future. Steve says that the main character, a male teenager, is tested on morals and ethics via virtual-reality and, regrettably, flunks "the sex part." (He must have been a Phi Delt.) He says that the book is a good read.

In the world of finance, Joe "Fang" Fernandes is a vice president of commercial lending at New jersey's largest bank, First Fidelity. Joe and his wife, Denise, who runs her own CPA firm, have two children, Brian 7 and Nicole 2. Brian wants to play left guard on the Dartmouth football team someday, joe tells me that Denny Black has recently married and is the senior VP of the Bank of New York, managing their Los Angeles operations. Joe informs me that he couldn't make Denny's wedding but would appreciate Denny returning his phone call. Denny, the honeymoon is over, please call joe at (908) 819-4163.

Finally, Will "Don't Call Me Bill" Winson is living in Minneapolis, Minn., with his wife, Marcy. Will tells me that after leasing his soul for a couple years as an attorney in two mega law firms, he has opted out of"the legal profession in order to look into other ventures. Among other lines of business that Bill is considering is a Hair Club of America franchise. After all, Bill, wouldn't just be the owner... he'd be "a client as well."

Afterthought: Philippa, isn't Princetoneducated husband an oxymoron?
