The mini-Reunion was a stimulating time for the ’34 family. Our officers came early for two fruitful meetings, then on Friday the mini began with a fine dinner at Pierce’s. Jack Gilbert added his buoyant piano, and we danced our way into the night. Next day, the Smoyer Lounge saw our class meeting and lunch. Our 60th next June was of course the big item for discussion. And Holy Cross went within one minute and one yard of giving us an exciting win.

Dinner at the Inn brought our reunion to a fine close. It was Bob Engelman’s birth- day, and he treated us to some fascinating reflections which brought our old days to life. Several of our veteran rooters came from a distance: Harry Gilmore, Gene and NinaOrsenigo, Oscar Cohn, Ace Miller, Art andBarbara Willis, Jack and Rita Corcoran, and Bob and Patricia Webb. John Anderson was a surprise visitor from Cleveland. He now has a daughter living near Hanover.

I.M. Sulzbacher got the prestigious Lib- erty Bell Award for 1993 from thejacksonville Bar Association. The award is presented to a non-lawyer for outstanding service in pro- moting individual responsibility. He has Been a key officer of Rotary, Scouts, United Fund, and many other organizations.

Any antique collectors out there? At our 60th I’ll show you some Dartmouth oldies Biz Swensson sent me. She still keeps busy in Man- chester, Conn., with community activity and bowling. I’ll also have the unique “Songs of Dartmouth College” book Molly Heston found in a friend’s attic. It was co-edited and published in 1910 by Harry Wellman ’O7, who wrote the music to Dartmouth’s Alma Mater and was a Tuck professor in our day.

Our new 1934 Directory was given to those present for the weekend and mailed in early October to everyone else. Anytime you need to make a change, please advise Alumni Records promptly. I’d also appreciate having the word from you.

The Alumni Magazine will devote a future issue to “Dartmouth’s Gifts to the World.” Let me know pronto if you or any Dartmouth friend invented or wrote anything or led major community or business activity, etc., that helped the world learn, or grow, or prosper.
