John Goodwillie reported on the Delray Beach, Fla., contingent of '31s Sam Groves, Si Leach, Mac MacKechnie, Bob Oelman, Forsha Russell, Bob Wallace, and himself meeting for lunch on February. 5. Needless to say, all had a most delightful time talking about Hanover and their recent doings. John further informed me that one of his grandsons played first-string linebacker on last fall's Perm team and was voted the top sophomore in the Ivy League. Consequently, I am trying to convince John to fly east from Chicago next fall for the September 18 Penn game at Franklin Field. Penn came on strong last fall, and the game should be a corker. 1 plan to get seats in the class section and hope that some of you will do the same.

Kit Baldwin wrote from Klamath Falls, Oregon in die winter that she was battling what seemed like an interminable number of heavy snow falls, and that she plans to move to Portland this spring or summer.

Bill Seney's passing reminded Bill Wendell of the Bridgeport Central High delegation president Bill Seney, treasurer Bill Wendell, and Central '26-1/2 Chuck O'Neill (graduations took place twice a year in those days) to the Dartmouth class of 1931. The results certainly showed that Admissions had one heck of a good recruiter in southern Connecticut in the twenties. Bill hopes to attend our mini in October because he again wants to see our super quarterback, Jay Fiedler '94, who marched Dartmouth the length of the field to beat Yale in the Bowl in 1991.

Red Gristede's returned 60th reunion questionnaire helped dispel the gloom of the lingering winter and the doom on the telly. Hitherto unreported excerpts: "After a string of operations the hospitals and doctors told me not to bother coming back as there was nothing important left to operate on Future address in doubt after being evicted after 40 years at 1112 Park Avenue—trying to move into a home or, more likely, Woodlawn Cemetery, where I have two reserved seats down front at 1909 rates, less a senior citizen's discount if I croak on a Tuesday."
