Bany Brink has joined a group private practice in childhood psychology in Raleigh, N.C. His wife, Lela, is director of pediatric critical care at University of North Carolina Hospital in Raleigh. Their daughter Malia is a member of the class of 1996 at Dartmouth. Her graduation will be a week before our 2 sth Reunion.
Jim Bays was appointed vice president, law, of GenCorp Automotive and is responsible for the legal affairs of the automotive segment of GenCorp, a technology-based company in the aerospace, automotive, and polymer products fields, headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Prior to joining GenCorp Jim was the principal of Bays & Associates, a legal consulting firm. Before forming the consulting firm he served in various positions during his 13-year career at TRW Inc. He played a key role in the company's expansion of its automotive passengerrestraints business and the divestiture of TRWs industrial and energy sector. He went on to serve as vice president, law, for their information systems and services division. Before joining TRW he was an associate with Jones, Day, Reavis and Pogue in Cleveland.
Curt Welling was named senior managing director and head of the equity capital markets group of Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York. His responsibilities include acting as a liaison between Bear, Stearns's investment-banking and capital-market groups. Before joining Bear, Stearns, Curt was affiliated with The Duval Group, an international M&A boutique, and was managing director of First Boston Co. in charge of its capital markets division.
