Hello all. For the next several years you'll be reading class notes from the pen of a different '88. I look forward to keeping our special class spirit alive and encourage all to send me news or a quick note. I welcome all news. Also, expect to be receiving postcards and calls from me—so we can all keep in touch.

Special thanks to Chuck Young, who has done such a fine job for the past five years as our class secretary, writing witty and informative notes each month. He has been dedicated to meeting deadlines, despite the fact that law school has kept him busy with all too many deadlines. Chuck's columns have kept us flipping first to the Class Notes page to see how our classmates are doing. Thanks, Chuck!

During the Fifth Reunion I'll bet many of us got a flash of some image from our freshman year—a football game, a movie on Baker lawn, or even an interesting meal at Thayer. We looked across the reunion tent and saw someone we had become good friends with because they lived down the hall from us freshman year. And then, to our amazement, we realized that they are now a doctor, a teacher, a reporterscary isn't it?

Well, we've all grown personally and professionally since freshman year, and for many of us the impetus for that growth came from our four-year stay in Hanover. Where are some of us now?

Diana Carlson, who was married in August to Tom Hine, is settling into her new home in Glastonbury, Conn. Diana is working at Filene's in Hartford.

Jackie Hanlon, our new co-treasurer, just finished her master's in accounting at Bentley and is working for Arthur Anderson in Boston and living in Newton, Mass.

Sandy Brooks is working in D.C. as an attorney for the Georgetown Law Center. I ran into Sandy often this summer while I was studying for the Bar at Georgetown. She gave me some good advice on how to survive the dreaded "Bar Experience." Thanks, Sandy. Another Mid-Atlantic lawyer, Wayne O.S. Haig, just finished his law degree at the University of Virginia and is working with a firm in Roanoke.

And special congratulations to Stephanie (Solms) and David Mccusker on the birth of their son, Colin Brodie Mccusker.

I look forward to hearing from all of you.
