I'm writing this to procrastinate packing for my return to Boston (back to the home of the Red Sox!). Look me up if you're ever in Beantown—my apartment is close to both the airport and the train station. It was definitely sad to leave the Upper Valley again, but not nearly as sad as it was to leave back in June 1992.1 will miss die beautiful summers up there, but I'm looking forward to having a nightlife again.

An article in a newspaper out of Wilmette, 111., announced that Tara Smith joined the faculty of Lake Forest Academy as an English teacher in September 1993. After graduation Tara worked in Portland, Ore., as a graphic designer and editor. Another article in a Connecticut paper reports that MonicaMiller was awarded a 1994 Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellowship in Humanistic Studies. She just started working towards her Ph.D. in English literature at Harvard.

Ignacio Kleiman lives in New York City with his wife, Karina, and works for Bankers Trust Company in the Latin America Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He frequently travels to South America, and this summer he enrolled in Columbia's executive M.B A. program, which he will finish in September 1996. Ignacio reports that Justin Firestone, RogerSpillman, Beth Rensel, and Andrew Lai are all working in the Big Apple, although Andrew hopes to move to Taiwan to learn the Chinese language.

In January Angela Dadak left to spend a year in Poland teaching English at a public high school. Angela, who majored in Russian area studies at Dartmouth, was assigned to Eastern Europe through a program called World Teach, a private non-profit organization based at Harvard.

Jeff Bird earned his master's in Russian Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, and, when he wrote in March, was hoping to return to New England to land a job in radio or the editing/publishing business. Steven Brown sent a quick hello to the class from Lugano, Switzerland, where he works for Ritchey Mountain Bikes (formerly based in Italy).

Lali Otterness left her job at Liz Claiborne in New York City and returned home to Colorado. In the fall of 1995 she will begin studies for a graduate degree in university- level educational administration. Lali reports that Laurence Schulz traveled to Colorado with her and is currently working as a paralegal in Denver. Juliet Serenyi was awarded a Reynolds Scholarship to research the impact of ecotourism in Ecuador, which she began in September. Vicki Kamberos works as an actuary at Towers-Perrin in Chicago, and Jeff Lewis is an investment banker in New York City.

Ken Amaditz sent a long letter from Arlington, Va., where he works in the Office of Solid Waste at the E.P.A., spending his time writing regulations and policy for hazardous- waste issues. Ken lives with TomHenry, who is an environmental consultant at Environ, and Gary Rovner, who's in law school at George Washington. Ken reports that Jon Rettman attends the Oregon Health Sciences Med School and Thies Kolln is doing well at the University of Chicago Law School, where he made the Law Review. Linsley Craig works in development for Jubilee Housing (low-income housing) and lives in Arlington. Val Worthington is researching and writing for the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Chris Walker works in production of books on tape, and recently performed in a rendi- tion of As You Like It. Katherine Aires does research at the National Institutes of Health, and Mike Smith works on the Hill with a fire-safety lobby/interest group.

Well, that's all for now. Take care and keep in touch.
