Through the long-distance crackling of the car phone, I heard the familiar voice of Bill Mitchell calling to report that Rick Reno has abandoned the beloved Marine Lounge in San Fran to launch a scubadiving business in Honduras. (For the record, Rick, Bill referred to you using some Hanoverian alias which I'll not repeat here.) Kevin Sullivan has now moved to the lounge from Henry Africa's I think. Please note both address changes for future Caribbean/West Coast excursions.

Bill also ran into Jeff Boylan who (are you ready for this?) is completing his teaching degree. Don't be surprised if next year the public high school curriculum in Northern California offers Oceans or Rocks II courses marketed, of course, as the fast track to Ivy League admissions. Mike McCarthy, PedroPessoa, and I have saved our model of a coral atoll complete with plastic sharks; LaurieLaidlaw Roulston still has her hand-made apron sporting a felt fish; and Kim Perry still savors the taste of that lobster dinner that served as her final paper. Is it possible that more than 18 years have since passed?
