A class executive and reunion committee meeting was held September 28 in Hartford, attended by BobCordy, Tony Fitzpatrick,Ron Harris, Bob Lider,Michael Maynard, Jeff McElnea, JerryO'Brien, Don O'Neill, Jon Osgood, JohnShanahan, Pete Webster, Dick Wooster, and Steve Zrike. After extensive discussions several reunion positions were filled. John Osgood and Bob Cordy agreed to tackle the reunion chairmanship together, and I have agreed to be reunion treasurer. Steve Zrike and Charlie Collier have agreed to take on the major effort of editing and publishing the 25th Reunion Yearbook. Jon and Bob wish to remind all of you that your help is needed and welcomed. We will need committee chairmen for catering meals and beverages, entertainment, publicity, souvenirs, attendance, registration, accommodations, children's programs, and the memorial service. To become involved, please call either of them (or get in touch with me).

Bob Lider also led a discussion of the reunion giving campaign, including the new rules for counting gifts and the goals we will be establishing by the end of 1994. We hope you will give as much support to the financial objectives of the 25 th as to the social!

And now, the latest dispatch from our recently named official class roving correspondent, Nels Armstrong: "I got a call from classmate Bill Brooks, who is also living here in the Cleveland area. In the legal profession, Bill was gracious enough to not only be in touch but to invite me downtown to lunch. Can't beat these Dartmouth guys!

"I had a great conversation with Allen'Tiny' Evans the other day. Tiny is in Chicago teaching the fourth grade for the Chicago Board of Education. Having earned two master's degrees, and working with some other Dartmouth notables (Don Samuelson and Tom Fulton), Tiny had played a significant role with the Chicago Inner-City Dartmouth Group working towards affordable housing and educational progress for the less privileged. He wants to challenge other '75s, particularly our African-American classmates, to join in the effort by working toward the same goals in our own communities. I certainly urge folks to give Tiny a phone call and learn about the many things that can be done. I hope the whole class will be as proud of him as I am.

"There's more. U. Gene Thibodeaux and Frank Watkins are both well and doing fine. Gene is a judge down in Lake Charles, La., and living the 'good life!' (so says Frank). An accomplished and successful doctor in the Seattle area, Frank said that he and Gene get together often to talk over the old days at Dartmouth and to stay in touch in general. Frank was in fact sitting in Gene's chambers when we last talked.

"Well, all for now. I am still trying to catch up with Anthony Harley and other guys from the class. Nels Armstrong, over and out."

How can I follow that? Best regards,
