Holly and Paul Becker have welcomed their third little girl into the family. Elizabeth Avery (called Eliza) was born on February 23 and tipped the scales at eight pounds. The family still resides in Lawrenceville, N.J., where Holly coaches and counsels at the academy and Paul is volunteering at a rehabilitation hospital. Eliza's older sisters are Hillary 6 and Lindsay 3.

A postscript on Lisa Conte from the Wall Street Journal: Lisa has received an award from Working Mother magazine "for completing a $l2 million financial deal from her hospital bed within minutes of giving birth. Her new joint-venture partner's reaction: 'Oh God, get some rest.'" Geez, Lisa, I checked voice-mail, but that's ridiculous!

Marc Belton was also in the news, selected as a role-model for young adults by Black Collegian. Mark is a vice president and director of the Cheerios business unit at General Mills.

In the "more the merrier" category, two Dartmouth grads, Myles Sheehan '78 and Stephen Sanford, were ordained as Jesuit priests at Holy Cross College on June 18. Stephen will return to Jamaica to serve as a priest and pastoral counselor once he finishes his degree. Two Dartmouth grads being ordained as Jesuit priests on the same day? But wait,, there's more. John Connolly was ordained to the priesthood on May 21. Before entering St. John's Seminary, John taught school and worked in human resources. And finally, Nancy Milholland was ordained to the priesthood in February last year in Saginaw. All this ordination activity makes you want to behave, doesn't it?

In promotions of a more secular nature, Emily Neisloss Roisman was elected as a partner of Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin in the firm's Hartford office. Emily is concentrating in real-estate litigation. Donzon Ezickson has left the office of Massachusetts Governor Weld to join the Boston firm of McDermott, Will & Emery, where he will continue his practice in international trade and investment.

Farther afield, in Dublin, Ireland, is Bob Spears. Bob, still with Gateway 2000, is in Dublin to start up (and get going) the company's first foreign subsidiary. As Bob notes, for Gateway "foreign" could be translated as anything outside of Sioux City, Iowa! Bob and wife Chris are enjoying the European adventure with one-year-old daughter Corinne, but are looking forward to a return to the U.S. by early 1995.

Bob passed on some news (from HalladieGrant, who else?!) that Kathy Shepard got married to Frank Alexander. This fall Halladie is planning on moving to Vancouver, where hubby Dan has moved from Ottawa. As Bob astutely notes, "Vancouver San Francisco is a better commute than San Francisco-Ottawa, but no commute at all would be better."

Steven Kroll recently married Jenny Patterson (Kenyon College '81) in Memphis, Tenn. The wedding included Zeta Psi alumni Shep Burr and Dr. Ben Knox, with Barney Oldfield also attending the festivities. Steve is a sole-practitioner lawyer in Chicago representing owners of small business, and Jenny is executive director of the Illinois State Employees' Pension Fund. Shep is working for a pension-management fund in Washington and lives with his wife, Alice, and daughters Olivia 5 and Campbell 2 in Chevy Chase, Md. Dr. Knox, "still single and available," as Steve says, lives in Baltimore and is a spine surgeon with an orthopedic practice. Hope you went for the bouquet, Ben!

Barney and Robin are in the process of moving to Wilmette, Ill. Barney still works for a real-estate management and development firm in Lake Forest, while Robin holds down the fort with Scott 3 and Madeline 1.

That's all for now. Over to you, Ab.
