My husband, Doug, and I just returned from a week's visit to Hong Kong. We had a terrific time, due in great part to Pete and Marcia McCrea Clinton. Marcia and Pete, with son Roarke, are happily ensconced in a beautiful apartment overlooking Happy Valley race track. Much to our delight, Marcia and Pete took us to many places we never would have found on our ownrestaurants, a hike in the hills surrounding the city, shopping, and a ride on a junk around the islands.

While we were out there, Liz Eldredge and George Alexakos came through on their way to Bali. George and Lizzie were married in Hingham in late May and were beginning their honeymoon. We were all able to celebrate over drinks at the American Club overlooking Kowloon before Doug and I caught our plane back to New York. Unfortunately, we missed seeing Anthony Desir, another Hong Kong resident, during our stay. But we certainly would recommend a visit—especially before 1997.

The Eldredge-Alexakos nuptials were, by all accounts, a grand party. However, Liz noted, things got off to a rough start. She had no sooner settled into the horse-drawn carriage to go to the church, when the skies opened up and the wedding party got doused. Liz dried off, and thought everything was under control until she was walking down the aisle and realized her engagement ring had fallen off in the excitement. All were relieved (especially George) when the ring was later found in the carriage. Sounds exciting to me!

More than 50 Dartmouth graduates attended George and Liz's wedding. Many of these were '81s, including Holly and PaulBecker, Gay Macomber and husband Jerry Bird 'BO, Jeannie Boutelle, and Ellen Brout.Annabelle Brainard Canning and her husband, Doug '79, flew in from California where Annabelle is practicing law. Also there were Tom Conner, in his role as best man, JohnCurtis, Danny Evans, Marg Kimball, StevePignatiello, Lon Povich, Rich Silverman,Greg Slayton, Kevin Stewart, and RobinWebb.

Jill Martin Eichner and husband Ad had their second baby in May. James Adam Eichner follows on the heels of Kyle—a mere 13 months separate the two kids. What will that be, the class of 2112 and 2113? Congratulations, Jill and Ad (and good luck!).

Sorry for the short column, but it seems everyone is on vacation. (Maybe I should check in on that old kitten story ...) Cheers!
