President Skip Louis gavelled 21 '58s to order as our class held its annual meeting during Homecoming Weekend at the home of Peter and SusanWilliamson in Lyme, N.H. Seven wives were also in attendance, adding some class to our class meeting, as well as a bit of sanity. HaryWilson flew in from Olympia, Wash., to win the distance award. John Trimble reported that our class contributed $206,500 to this year's Alumni Fund but that class participation was only 350, or 59 percent. Skip urged the executive committee to help John bring our participation level up to 65 percent this year. A goal of $220,000 for the 1994 Alumni Fund was accepted. In another action, SallyPrescott was formally elected a member of our class. Welcome, Sally—what a great addition you are to the class!

After the meeting we adjourned to DaveBradley's law offices for a pre-Harvard-game brunch hosted by Ben McAdams, who had flown in from San Louis Obispo. Following a nail-biting win over Harvard, 55 of us gathered at the Lyme Inn for a dinner organized byjoe Jacquet. The weather was inclement, and it snowed later that evening,, but a warm group of'58s enjoyed each other's company.

Earlier in the fall Richard Schad traveled to Philadelphia for the Penn football game. Evidendy it was not the happiest of experiences. In a letter to the Daily Pennsylvanian he urged the University and its students to address the degrading behavior he witnessed in the Penn student cheering section. While it is enjoyable to see and hear students exhibiting their "high jinks," it is a sorry commentary when it crosses the line into vulgarity, he said.

In the medical world, Bradford Woods has been elected chairman and CEO of the Northeastern Foundation, which is the sole owner of Northeastern Hospital and Neumann Medical Center in Philadelphia. In addition to his work for the Foundation, he was the coordinator of the 1989 telethon for the United Negro College Fund. It would appear that Bradford, who retired after a long career in the telecommunications field, is busier than ever.

I have received notices of the deaths of three of our classmates. Rolf VonEckartsberg died last spring after a struggle with cancer. At the time of his death he was an associate professor in psychology at the Univer- sity of Duquesne and was engaged in private practice. Dr. D. Martin Carter died unexpectedly in early November. At the time of his death he was the Carl J. Herzog professor of clinical investigation and director of the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology. Each is survived by his wife. Full obituaries will appear in a future issue of the Alumni Magazine.
