Although Bill Harriman retired about ten years ago from petroleum exploration, he has jumped back into the work force as a consultant for the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica. Les Nichols, on the other hand, has just retired after 33 years in the hotel industry and other promotional endeavors. Many of his experiences were so fascinating that he is writing a book about them. Les plans to be at the 1995 reunion.
Lee Bowman was not too keen about the Connecticut weather last winter, but she got some relief on a trip to Baja California. My son Chuck '68, who has met many of you, spent Christmas and New Year's there, but apparently he did not see Lee.
Art Christenson is now living in Sun City, Ariz. Until recently he was a resident of Bend, Ore. We both have daughters who live there. A bend in the Deschutes River is the reason for the town's name. While we were whitewater rafting on that river a while ago, our guide recommended that if we got thrown out we should be sure to float downstream feetfirst. Otherwise it could be very hazardous. At that point it was too late to chicken out.
At this writing, Stet Whitcher has responses from 98 percent of his regular class dues payers. Why not give him a surprise by making it 108 percent?
Janet and Lew Chipman had to forego their annual Hanover-Woodstock ski expedition this year because Janet's back was acting up. We hope she is OK now.
