Can you believe I'm still writing about December's mail? Sarah Pettus sent a letter from China, where she is spending her second year of teaching English in Taian, Shandong province. She's looking for a job in China or Hong Kong for next year. She reports that Dana Johnson is working in an immigration office in Nazareth, Israel.
Lisa Bryan teaches middle and upper school at the Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville. She and Steven Stringfellow '91 are engaged and hope to marry in mid-to-late 1994. I received a Christmas card from PeteAaron. The return address gave away that Pete is living m Los Angeles, but he didn't include any further information. What's your story, Pete? I also received a Christmas card from Ben Saunders, who is working on a master's in geography at the University of Wyoming-in Laramie.
Pete DeBalli wrote from Philadelphia, where he is in his second year at the U-Penn School of Medicine. Other '92s at Penn Med include Sandy Burnham, Jane Dvorak, and Maggie Feeney Jeff Owens Jay Jan, GlennLiu, and Roy Park attend Jefferson Med School, also in Philly. Dan Petit and Jon Douglas are working towards their doctorates in music at U-Penn.
Ed Hopkins wrote from somewhere in the Upper Valley, where he has a job developing software for ski resorts. He reports that Chris Week and Stimy Greenberg" are (were?) teaching assistants for film studies at Dartmouth. The three were watching Jeopardy! when the category "Famous Woodys" came up on the board. They were disappointed at the absence of Todd"Woody" Richman's name in the answer column.
Jesse Bradley wrote from Scotland, where he is a sales representative for goalkeeping-glove manufacturers. The job has given jesse the pleasure of touring with the Scottish Highland League. He reports that BrookMiller works for a political advertising company in Washington, D.C., and spends his spare time practicing guitar in hopes of meeting up with Jud Dean and Kim McIlvain.
Daniel and Susan Fisher-Owens wrote from Chicago. They were married in July 1993, and want to inform the class that it didn't cost anything extra to hyphenate both last names. Dan earned his master's degree in Middle Eastern history and is working towards his doctorate. Susan takes pre-med classes while working as a course manager at the National Center for Advanced Medical Education. They've seen Yoi Herrera, who studies political science at the University of Chicago, and Courtney Gilbert, studying art history at U of C.
Steph Tuxill wrote from our hometown of Hopkinton, N.H. She's living at home while she finishes up an internship at the Concord Feminist Health Center. She applied to tire University of Montana to finish her premeds, and looks forward to the change of scenery.
On to March's mail! Tom Butler writes from La Jolla, Calif., where he moved after deferring his acceptance into Harvard Law until this fall. He teaches SAT courses for the Princeton Review. Tom reports that Jay Caggiano will marry Andrea Roof this summer. Josh Stein is still in the army in Germany. Doung Miniati and Raj Shah are in med school in New York. Steve Blumenreich still works for Salomon Brothers in New York City, and Liz Rodgers also lives in New York. Wendy Gruenberg lives in Washington, D.C., except in the summers when she leads six-week hiking trips, and Anne Wilson spent the winter teaching skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho.
