Well, I have one column's worth left from reunion notes, which are a year old and are significantly gap-filled. I make no apologies. By the time I write again, I will be making cold calls, so beware.
Keith Hampton and Alicia Bixby are married and living in Telluride. They've started their own business (no, I have no idea), and have one child. At least they had only one as of June of last year. Bruce Weissman lives in New York with his lovely wife and two adorable boys (I think it's two boys) and supplies information software systems to unspecified kinds of customers. Mike Sapers is a Boston-based partner in the business. I noted that Mike was on crutches, which I believed he brought with him from Boston. I could imagine some interesting link between the crutches and the business, but I'll refrain from speculation.
Kathy Briscoe lives in Los Angeles and works for some high-powered real-estate firm. She had just gotten a "whopping raise" as of last June and stated that she was "finally getting paid what I deserve." Hmm. Of course, we don't know what she was being paid before the raise. Cathy Judd-Stein was working as a lawyer for the state of Massachusetts, handling child-abuse cases, but was in the process of making a switch to a small firm that specializes in non-profit law. Obviously another money-grabbing attorney.
I recollect running into Amy Lederer and John Moscarino in the wee hours of the morning near Richardson and Smith. Both are lawyers. Quel surprise. Amy works for the Connecticut state attorney general's office, and John works in Santa Monica. Both like their jobs. But then, who doesn't at 3 a.m. after several beers. Jobs generally pay the fare to Hanover.
Paul Johnson is also an attorney (maybe only attorneys came to the reunion, or maybe attorneys are taking over the world...where's my analyst's number?) Anyway, Paul's wife is an M.D. in the military, and after residency was reportedly going to be sent somewhere exotic like Germany (anything sounds exotic when it's 98° and 98-percent humidity, except areas near the equator). If they were sent abroad, Paul was considering taking a breather to raise their two children.
Gail Koziara Boudreaux is living in Hartford, Conn., where she handles Aetna's dental programs. She and husband Terry have a little boy who is, in Gail's words, "a bruiser already." Why are we not surprised?
I repeat, women, if you have changed your name since college, I suggest you call the Alumni Records office and ask to be listed under your maiden name and then your married name, e.g. Philippa Guthrie Wisenheimer. Otherwise, unless someone knows your married name, you are impossible to find in the class listing.
Finally, I have a note that Matt Connors has moved from San Francisco to Boston. No idea what he's doing or why he moved. At least we know where he is, right? Or was as of last June. OK, let the cold calls begin.
