Because no one had my address yet to let me know what they are doing, here I am passing on as much first- and second-hand information about our classmates as possible in 600 words. So here we go.
Mary Bachman is in her second year of grad school in international relations at Georgetown. Laura Gaylord, who was recently photographed next to Jean-Baptiste Aristide, is working in Haiti for the Organization of American States. Laura and Jean-Baptiste tried to contact Ted Carleton, lobbyist for the Virgin Islands, to be in the photo shoot, but Ted's pager was tied up with calls from Bruce Sacerdote, a distressed analyst for Bear, Stearns.
After a critically acclaimed appearance on E.R., newlywed Brad Drazen continues his acting and is attending business school in California. Also recently married are Roger Freeman and Andy Mottaz (though not to each other). Jen Huska is still entrenched in Bloomington, Ind., where she is in a doctoral program in clinical and neuropsychology, while Tracy Gleason is working on her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota. Recent lawyers include Sally Horton, who is clerking for a judge in New Hampshire, and Cindy Johnson, who graduated from Duke and is working in New York, reportedly as a trademark and intellectual property lawyer.
Turning to our sports page, Scottie Eliassen was spotted at mile 21 running the Boston Marathon with her sister Megan '92. Mark Johnson is the starting first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates and had 13 homeruns at last count. Walter Palmer left his professional German team and is in Salt Lake City training to join another professional team in Europe. Chris Schmidt is coaching freshman heavyweight crew at Dartmouth and is building his own house in Thetford, Vt. Before he cuts down each tree, he consults Kathy Fallon, who works for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, and Brooks Preston, who is on the staff of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and works for Sen.
