This is becoming, more and more, a report of class inactivities. However, at our age, sometimes inactivity is the best policy. Recently I called PeggyPhillips to find out how John was getting along. She reports he is cheerful and resting comfortably. He is still very interested in school activities, particularly football, and enjoys the Alumni Mag. Ed Flanders reports that he attended the Columbia game with his son John '83. As John graduated 55 years after his father, Ed wonders if this isn't some kind of record. That must have been an exciting game to watch. Evidently Ed's heart was up to the strain. Jerry Sass reports that BillFord celebrated his 89th birthday October 3. More and more of us are passing that milestone but the majority are still a youthful 88, I suppose. At my birthday last September I no sooner proclaimed that "I'm 89 and feeling fine" than I came down with a bad cold. Forgot to keep my fingers crossed. Jerry also said that Ruth and Rufus Munsell celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary and that Tavy Taylor has moved to Santa Rosa Village in the Santa Barbara area. I regret to report the deaths of Neil Dow on August 18 and George Klein on October 14.
