We were delighted to be present when the former Center Theater at the Hopkins Center was rededicated as the Lansing Porter Moore Theater. The late Lansing Moore' 37 and wife Florence gave more than $2 million for the refurbishing of the hall, the very latest in stage equipment, a redesign of the lobby, and redecoration of the Top of the Hop . It gives Dartmouth one of the finest facilities for teaching and presenting theater arts at their best. President Freedman showed his knowledge and deep appreciation of the arts in a truly inspiring dedication speech.

At a meeting of the Dartmouth Club of the Upper Valley Gordon DeWitt '60, director of facilities planning, gave a detailed presentation about the future campus and the renovation and building plans into the next decade. The Trustees have already made a commitment to keep the undergraduate student body stable at its present size, but it's likely the graduate schools will grow somewhat. Dartmouth and Hanover life are always stimulating for all who love the College and the advantages it gives to the surrounding area.

We were delighted to see Tibby andPhoebe Thibodeau at a party in October. Several calls to Gene and Mimi Davis have found their phone "up for trouble." Do you leave the receiver off, Gene?

John and Adelaide Quebman are still in their lovely home in Falmouth, Mass. John limits his golf. They were about to visit MariannaHale in her new home in Duxbury when we talked.

With mixed feelings we report that Dartmouth has realized more than $49,000 in bequests from '29ers in the first quarter of this fiscal year. We are at the age when Dartmouth annuities are a bargain.
