In December Ann Ojemann sent me a very cool note in which she mapped out the 1,600-mile trail she hiked from Canada to Lake Tahoe last summer and fall. She dropped off her hiking partner, Alex McCrohon, in Sacramento and headed back home to Seattle, where she spent the winter teaching snowboarding, working for a theater production company, and finishing her pre-med requirements. She hopes to finish the trail someday and hike all the way down to Mexico. Hope you've made it there by now, Ann! As for '94s along the path of Ann's hiking trail, Keri Gleason wrote to let me know that the San Francisco Bay Area is full of'em! Keri lives with Jen Pack, and if they ever feel starved for some Dartmouth company, they don't have to look too far to run into Duncan Hodge, Betsy Bennet, EdDyer, Ben Schwartz, Reini Jensen, DanWilliams, Steve White, or Gretchen Wagner, just to name a few. Can you say "minireunion," folks? The '94s working for Clinton's National Civilian Community Corps can also have a mini-reunion of their own: Johnny Jones wrote me from the Aberdeen campus in Maryland to let me know that he is joined there byjay Torian, Beth Covitt,Shannon Sullivan, and Matt Thorpe.Heather Jones is also working for the NCCC, but she is on the Denver campus. Jon Newton and Brian Comite are living in Enfield, Conn., and working in Hartford—the insurance capital! Brian works for Cigna, and Jon works for Travelers, where he is joined by Cari Silberfein. Pete Wilding is working for Micro Strategy, a computer software and consulting firm in Virginia. He has traveled to Maine, Atlanta, and who knows where else by now. Look around for him wherever you may be.

Katie Barefoot also wrote a while ago with lots to report on her '94 friends. KatieFesus is living in Sun Valley, Idaho, working at a Mexican restaurant and ski shop, and was hoping for lots of snow so she could teach skiing and snowboarding. Katie B. also wrote that at a Halloween party last fall in N.Y.C. she ran in to many familiar faces, including Kathryn Murphy, who is working at a law firm in D.C., and Tracy Timbers, who is at Yale Law. As for Katie herself, she relocated from her hometown of Summit, N.J., in January to start pre-med classes in Fairbanks, Alaska, at UAF. TomDouglas is there too, getting his masters in geology. Ted Murphy will be in San Diego training for the '96 Olympics. Jamie Knies is stationed in Hawaii as of this March. Vanessa Mac Donald is living and working in London. Annalisa Gorman is at U-Washington Med School.

Jon Good wrote to me from the University of Toronto, where he is studying for his M.A. in medieval history. He also wrote that Dan Schwartz is studying the history of science in Gottigen, Germany, at the Institut fiir Wissen with the help of a Reynolds scholarship.

And we end this month's column again with the chime of wedding bells, as Gretchen Werschkul wrote to let me know that she and John TenBrook '92 (and DMS '96) are recently engaged. They are both very excited and planning for an August 12 wedding in Gretchen's hometown of Portland, Ore. Well, congratulations to the both of you.

Please keep the news coming. Eventually, it will find its way onto the pages of this little column! Take care of yourselves.
