OK people...This time I have to start with an announcement I thought we would not hear for at least another couple of years, but brace yourselves, because I think we may just have ourselves a Class Baby! This is a much overdue congratulations to Jennifer (Young)Wadleigh, and a much overdue welcome to her daughter, Evelyn Ann, who was born on July 16,1995. "I have opted for fulltime motherhood," writes Jennifer, "and I love it, though it's hard work." Jennifer and her husband, Troy (HTH), live in Vinalhaven, Maine. "We bought an old house last year and are renovating it," she writes. If anyone else out there has had a baby born before Evelyn, do write and let me know, otherwise, three cheers for Jennifer, Troy, and most of all, to little Evelyn Wadleigh, the first '94 baby! So, moving slowly backward in this chain-of-major-lifeevents article, I had the pleasure of attending Andrea Fiorentino's wedding in Boston this past June. Andrea was married on June 1 to Rob Liebross '91. The ceremony was held in the chapel of a beautiful prep school in Concord, Mass., which was very reminiscent of Dartmouth, complete with a mini-Green and a strangely familiar clock tower.

There were many '94s in attendance: Jennifer Carroll, Veronica Doherty, KathyFidler, Gwen Burns, Heidi Kern, and Tracey Revellino. Also in attendance were Renee (Fried) Kohen '90, Laura (Fried) Yecies '85, Steve Yecies '85, Eric Schwartz '91, San jeev Matthew '91, and Michele Marinak '95. We all managed to sneak away from the reception at the Ritz long enough to take a Dartmouth picture. I think we may have sung the "Alma Mater," too, but the second half of the evening is still a bit of a blur, so I'm not quite sure. Andrea and Rob have opted for a change of pace from their hectic New York lives, as they begin their married life in Houston, Tex. Not to say that life there will be any less hectic for the newlyweds, as Rob begins his residency, and Andrea begins work at Rice University as a marketing assistant at their business school. Now, moving backward a bit more in the chain-of-life-events series, are announcements we're all getting used to these days...Tracey Revellino is engaged to Chris (a.k.a. Zeke) Greenwald '93. The wedding will be held next August in Vermont. Amidst all the wedding planning, Tracey will be finishing up her law degree at Harvard, and Zeke will be continuously patenting great engineering inventions at his firm. Kristen Nordt is also engaged to Chris Franklin '96. But wedding planning won't be on Kristen's mind for another year or so, as she is just about to start her second year at UMass-Medical. Their wedding is set for June of '98. And just when you thought all major life events had been covered, there's yet another: Cynde Bierman graduated this summer to head naturalist on the Cape Ann Whale Watch boats in Gloucester, Mass., after being "galley wench" for a year—by the time you read this, it may be a bit late for whalewatching season, but go visit Cynde anyway—Gloucester is a pretty place. As usual, I have more to report, but this time I must end with some of my own news. As of July 19, I am leaving the glamour and fame of the publishing world to begin work on my own great American novel...well, sort of. I am quitting my job and starting a graduate program in English lit at Brandeis this fall. So until I learn my new e-mail address, please discard the old—and if you've sent me any messages since July 19, I probably have not received them! You can continue sending mail to my home address, as always, and it will be forwarded to me. And please, send lots of it, because it's just going to be me, my computer, and my books for the next couple of years, and I will appreciate any outside contact I can get! So, please, keep writing!
