Phil Harmon's letter to Howie Leavitt bears further note: the Harmon family endowed the Paul S. Harmon Trophy, which was established some years ago by the class of 1913 in memory of Phil's father, who set the College record in the mile run as an undergraduate. The record stood for some 30 years. The trophy was awarded this year to Jack Dwyer '96, who earned All-America honors in the 5,000-meter run. A great note from Frank Lallande, who shares the most welcome news that
he has returned to normalcy in movement of his arms and legs after a crippling stroke last February. He and Vera are looking forward to our 55th in '98. Terrific news. Dr. JimStewart was bursting out all over in May as his oldest grandchild graduated from University of Vermont and the Rochester (N.Y.) Academy of Medicine awarded him the Albert David Kaiser Medal. Its highest award, for his devotion to patients, medical students, and the community. Harold Grant was kind to send to us notice of the death of our classmate, BudFuller. Finally, a note from Frank Hartmann advises that he is responding well to treatment for a heart problem, thanks primarily to Margot's excellent care. Keep those cards and letters coming—one way or the other, and stay happy.
