Last reminder for the 50th. Touched base with some classmates and unfortunately drew some blanks on others. I would ask you to notify the College if you have changed your address in the last year. Thanks. Father John O'Brien, where are you? Georgetown University didn't know. Like to hear from you. Also, JohnKennedy. Your old law firm said you'd retired and I got no response from a number in Lake Bluff, III. Come in, Jack!
On the successful side found Joe Clain in Midland Park, N.J. Where's that? Right next to Ridgewood from where Joe hails. Joe's been retired now after many years "with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Industry. Got a nice note from old friend Bob Bogart in Toledo, Ohio. Retired from Xerox now and spending
time golfing, fishing, and hunting. These latter two, he said, will keep him from Reunion. He was off to Melbourne Beach, Fla., hoped to play golf with DaleArmstrong over at Naples. Right after that letter got a call from Jack Witte, also a Toledo resident Jack knew Bob had given me the hunting/fishing excuse and said I should "lean on" him to come to Reunion. So Bob, consider yourself "leaned." And besides, think conservation and spare those poor animals and fishes! Jack Witte's been retired from his moving business for a couple of years. Sails his 32-foot boat on Lake Erie for diversion. Must've done well, Jack. You only had a 30-footer at the time of the 25th. Thanks for the call, Jack, the letter, Bob, and see you in June. Both of you!
Dr. Bill Nagle still practicing radiology over in Media, Penn.; lives in Radnor, Penn. Said he's in fine health and hadn't thought retirement. Very active as an alumnus of Episcopal Academy, where he had gone before Dartmouth. He inquired about Bob Bensing and Ray DeWees. He and Bob had gone to Episcopal together. Bob's in Brunswick, Me., and Ray's in Hanover, in case you didn't know. Bill spoke of meeting Howard "Duke"Schneider in Bermuda a while back. Urged on by that news I called "Duke." He and wife Miriam were expecting twins (well, Miriam is) in May. He's long retired from Johnson & Johnson, and before that was with Scott Paper Co. for many years.
I spoke to Bob Gerrish. He's in Needham, Mass., retired from his wood business for two years. And here I must make a public apology. When trying to reach Father O'Brien I dialed the Gerrish number, instead. I was told in no uncertain terms, "There's no Fr. O'Briens here." That turned out to be Bob's wife, Janie. I am truly sorry for my stupidity. Bob Ellis is in North Hollywood, Calif. Been there more than 25 years. He has been a photographer and still does some of that. But his main work is putting videos together. He said he was doing some writing but when pressed he would not divulge just what, maybe he did Primary Colors? Try to send your donation or pledge for the Alumni Fund by June 1, as we present our check at the Saturday luncheon at Reunion.
