It's pretty sad when a first-grade boy kisses a little girl in his class on the cheek and gets a longer suspension than a major league baseball player who spits in an umpire's face. I just had to get that off my chest before moving on to the good stuff. I had the pleasure of catching up with Gregg Engles, who was busy playing solitaire on his PC at work (just kidding). Actually, Grengles has been a busy guy. After graduating from law school he formed a small leveraged buy-out company and began buying food companies. Now, he's the top banana for a $500-million Suiza Foods Corp. that he took public last April (NYSE symbol SWZA). No corporate jets yet but Grengles and his wife of 11 years, Cindy, do have an old dog and are enjoying some of the freedoms that success breeds living and working in Dallas.

From the Rocky Mountain State, Kevin Reitz's new wife, Susan Jones (Harvard '86), wrote that they were married at Peaceful Valley, Colo., on April 7th and are living in Boulder. Kevin is an associate professor of law at the University of Colorado and any classmates who want to ski the powder is welcome to come for a visit.

Tom McIntyre finally returned my call. After I chewed him out for living ten miles from me and being a stranger, he reluctantly invited my wife and me to a fall gettogether at his home (but told me to leave my beer pong paddle at home). Tmac and his wife, Claire, moved to Connecticut from New York. Tmac is directing the business development aspects of SNET's subscription series for the Internet.

"Tip it" Norman Ricther is alive and well living in a circa 1890 Victorian mansion on the water, five minutes from his office in Providence, R.I. Norman is the director of tax planning for Textron Corp., performing, among other things, due diligence on international acquisitions. Norman, who on occasion waded in the mung corner of Alpha Chi, is now quite an accomplished seaman. He and his wife, Pam spend much of their free time sailing their yacht, just came back from visiting family in Germany, and are planning a trip to South Africa this winter (where do you think all that sheltered income went?).

Remember our gold medal-winning USA equestrians from the Atlanta Olympics? Insiders will tell you that the real hero of the team was the chief veterinarian, our own Ken Marcella. Perhaps it was Ken's extensive experience with barley and hops that landed him the job. Ken also claims to have named the leading cause for mysterious feline ailments as "High Rise Syndrome." Apparently, there are a lot of cats falling out of apartment windows without their masters knowing about it (no way, the maids were tossing them out). Anyway, Ken, I know this went right over most people's heads but I know you're making a joke.
