We have this from Morris "Rocky" Whitaker, interim president: "Greetings fellow classmates; hope all is well with each of you and your families. Let's take a moment to acknowledge our classmates who are no longer with us.

"I always felt that our class displayed a strong sense of camaraderie, consciousness, and compassion. Maybe it was because of the events or the particular time in history when we were becoming young adults. Who knows? I want to believe that it was because we were young, idealistic, open, and honest with our feelings toward life and each other. When you read our class newsletter and class articles in the DAM, you can see the diversitv in our lives and the compassion and willingness to stay connected to our friends and classmates. That compassion to stay connected was nurtured on the plains of Hanover and sustained through our involvement and legacy with the College. Let us not forget how important it was for us to experience the legacy of Dartmouth when we were students. The programs, activities, events, and culture of Dartmouth make up the spirit that lives in us all. I commend you for staying connected and keeping that spirit alive through our continued involvement with the College and the students.

"As we look forward to our 25th Reunion in 1999, this celebration promises to be one of the most productive and fun events we've ever hosted. The executive committee will be meeting soon to begin putting it all together. There are a few things that we want to accomplish at the Reunion. One: To get the greatest turnout ever for a class of '74 sponsored event. Two: To acknowledge and celebrate 25 years of coeducation at Dartmouth. Three: To present the College with a gift from the class of 1974. In order to pull all of this together, we will need your help and commitment. Be committed to show up at the 25th celebration. We need you there. Encourage your friends and classmates to attend. Give us ideas and recommendations regarding the celebration of coeducation and our class gift. Continue to give your financial support to our class. The Reunion celebration alone could wipe out the treasury, so give some dough, cash, ducats, dead presidents, you know what I mean.

"We've got a great bunch of dedicated people in this class. I hope that we can continue to support and promote the legacy of the class of 1974.

"P.S. Andy Krakoff, come out, come out, wherever you are!"
