How valued is the opportunity to recognize here some of the women, representative of the class, who sustain and complete us through the years and then continue on with daughters, sons, and grandchildren. Jean (Tommie) Parker has two daughters: Jessica, an investment consultant in Andover, Mass., and Nancy, a school counselor in Hopkinton, N.H.; also granddaughters: Jessica and Mia. One of Sheila (Ted) Dearborn's granddaughters, Debbie, is with the school of Christ Chapel in Northern Virginia, and the other, Connie, is an analyst with the Bank of Boston. Addie Page's wife, still at home in Danville, Calif., wants to hear from classmates, have visitors, dinner guests. Recently she went with the class of '91 on a trip to Greece. She keeps in touch with Isobel Pounder, '36 executive committee member. Her daughters are Anne and Harriett. Her grandsons are Kent, analyst with the Bank of America; Christopher, a screenwriter; and Andrew. She and Addie, chemical engineer and overseas corporate manager, through the years lived in Melbourne, Australia; Milan, Italy; Africa; Kuwait; elsewhere.
ACCURACY DEPARTMENT: It is important to get it right, especially when attention is called to what is "right." Here it is: The so graceful, beautiful Appleton Museum of Art, given the city by Arthur Appleton, his wife, Martha, and his sister, Edith-Marie, is in Ocala, Fla., not California as noted in this space in January. STATISTICAL NOTES: 372 of us make up the recendy completed new '36 class directory; 232 classmates and 140 widows. Tithe, the '36 class newsletter, is mailed to everyone, and so is the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine to all paying '36 class dues.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT: An important objective, toward which we are beginning to work, is gathering together the papers of the class. Such will be assembled in a four-drawer steel file cabinet here: individual class agents' records of Alumni Fund drives, capital fund drive records, other records generally, correspondence which should be kept, reports to executive committee, citations which accompanied the Class Award etc., etc., etc., are examples. Please send me at the address below anything that, in your view, should be available in the future.
