June. Roses. Weddings. Sunshine and rain. Heat and humidity. Hay fever. Watermelon. Apple pie and the Fourth of July. Not much is happening. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: On a day clear one kitchen drawer, one cabinet. Another day a buffet drawer. Follow with a bureau drawer, a closet. Then the basement, attic, and garage. Keep what's cherished or valued, of course. Let go "what might be useful sometime" but has not been used for months or years. Send others, including youngsters, their things warehoused over long after they have moved out. Enjoy space and relief from possessions. List for tax deduction price of items sent to charity. So much for THOUGHT FOR THE DAY. From Bax Fullerton, chairman of bequests & trusts for our executive committee, comes word of activity by our classmates in the College's charitable gift annuity, which, at our time of life, provides lifetime income of up to 8.7 percent for you and your survivor, and one-time charitable gift tax deduction of 45 percent. Call Dave Haraway at Dartmouth's Bequests & Trusts Office at (800) 451-4067 for a proposal specifically programmed for you. Bob Schwartz '39 phoned to let us know his brother our classmate Dan Schwartz, is comfortably in a nursing home and his wife Josephine, coping courageously with disability for many years, continues on her bounding, upbeat way. Both Dan and Bob came to Dartmouth from Pelham Manor, N.Y. There were 11 undergraduates from that small town then.

Chapin Leinbach, long retired from the Air Transport Association, with a home in Washington, winters in Key West with activity in the fine arts, spends time annually in France and in England at Cambridge University, keeps up on tennis, is a spectator frequently of the game at Wimbledon. BillFrick and his wife of Westline Penn., have two sons and a daughter and are active with the volunteer fire department, of which he is president and she is secretary. They have six grandchildren, and occasionally visit the Jersey coast near Atlantic City. SeymourSims (he was Bill McNulty's roommate) is a very active, much involved volunteer with functioning of two major organizations caring for the health challenged in the Mamaroneck, N.Y., area. He and his wife, Miriam, have a daughter who is a professional recruiter in investment banking in the New York City area. VOX CLAMANTIS IN DESERTO—that's me.
