Truthfully, I have VERY LITTLE to report this month, since everybody seems to be more involved with figuring out a way to get through the winter than they do in sending me updates on their fabulous lives. So I will relate a story that happened to me recently.

I was talking with a woman who is a year ahead of us (names will be withheld to protect the innocent), and she was talking about how the class of '91 Notes are terrible—"everyone is either getting married or having kids."

Pretty good story, eh? All right, then, with that in mind...

Kids, kids everywhere! Lisa Bryan and her husband, Steven Stringfellow '90, recently had a daughter (Michaela Elizabeth), who I'm sure will join many of our other recently born sons and daughters in the class of what would it be, 2010? Wow. Lisa teaches fifth-graders in language arts and computers at Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville (I won't make you guess the state).

Weddings, weddings everywhere! Lisa also dutifully reported that she will be a bridesmaid at the impending wedding of Jane Dvorak. After graduating from Penn Medical School, Jane is in Boston doing her residency. In the meantime, I just got a great photo from the now-long-ago wedding of Alex Kugajevsky and Krista Olson (Duke '93). They were wed in August in front of numerous Dartmouth friends. Alex is a captain in the U.S. Army and will complete his Special Forces training during the next couple of years in North Carolina. Krista, who is graduating from Johns Hopkins Medical School, will begin emergency medicine residency.

Sue Greeley was engaged to Doug Sylva '93 in New York City over the holidays. Of course, I heard this from three people before just recently being told by Sue herself. How to keep the important people in your life informed, Sue! Engagements, engagements everywhere!

OK, at the last minute I am able to report news unrelated to the aforementioned subjects. Lillian Guerra, whom I talked about last month, recently got in touch with me and passed on word about Christine Vanden Beukel and Gretchen Schweitzer. Christine is a vice president of the Greenwich Street Management Partners, a division of the Travelers' Group—Lillian's quote: "Women of Dartmouth should be so proud of her. I can't believe she's the same woman with whom I tanned religiously sophomore summer!" while Gretchen is working at Feinstein Keene Partners, a leading biotech firm in Boston. As with Sue, I will trust the second-hand information at this point and anticipate hearing from Christine and Gretchen.

As for the rest of you, I'm dying for information up here in the hinterlands. Dear 01' Dartmouth, SEND ME NEWS!
