The masses may be swooning over Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, but our class has its own bona fide indie movie celeb in Julie Davis, whose film I Love You.. .Don't Touch Me opened on the big screen last February. Michael Medved of the NY Post wrote: "Smart, funny, original." And Kenneth Turon of the L.A. Times agreed: "Honest, sexy, and consistently funny." I can see it now: This time next year, we will all be glued to the tube, watching Joan Rivers oohing and ahhing over Julie's dress for the Oscars and her Harry Winston million-dollar borrowed jewels. Wouldn't that be grand? So, friends, go see this movie!

Speaking of big events, DavidGreenberg and his wife, Shery Reich, announced the birth of Samuel Raphael, their first, last November. The eight-pound, five-ounce healthy boy greeted the world by kicking the doctor. "Question authority, we Greenbers always say," his proud daddy wrote. Clayton Gates recently moved to New York Cityf's Upper West Side, where he and his wife, Jennifer, recently bumped into David, Sheryl and Samuel. They also send word that Tor Blaisdell's son is an adorable bundle. The Blaisdells and the Gateses were at Roth Herrlinger's wedding in Carmel last July, where John Kornet,Becca Michaels, Jamie Pringle, MarkSternman, and Scott and Jen Spring were also in attendance.

Clayton works for a web design studio and bemoans the fact that although he lives in a visually rich city, he doesn't get out often with his camera. (You may remember that Clayton took many of our yearbook candids and contributed to The Dartmouth's daily black and whites.) Of course, he does carry around his equipment when he travels, and he and Jenn took an incredible trip to Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand last year. They can't wait to return.

Darwin Brown, who was one of the first people I met at Dartmouth since we both lived in the same dorm, has also moved to New York, to the Upper East Side. He has a fellowship at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center, and his wife, Dawn, is a gynecological resident at Mount Sinai, also in the city. They have a chocolate brown lab appropriately named Hudson. Hudson, his proud papa boasts, is really good at sniffing, sleeping late, and swimming (I hope NOT in the river he was named after).

And Kara Finnegan wrote from Ann Arbor to let us know that she is engaged to Kelly Finigan, who is attending grad school at the University of Michigan. They will be married this summer in Alaska, where Kara is from. Yes, Kelly has the same last name, although it's spelled differently. And he's got a Dartmouth connection—his dad is a '54. Last summer Kara visited Gillian Doyle and her husband, Dan. She attended SaraTaggart's wedding to Sam Saha on Whidbey Island in Washington State, where she saw Julie (Warren) and Scott Schorer. And more recently, she visited Heather(Staley) Block, her husband, Jason, and their cute kids, Edie and Max, in Evanston.

Take care, Y'all
