This summer, John Marchiony left The Computer Museum in Boston to join a start-up called edu.com as its director of partnership marketing. Ted Farrell Eden, his wife Melissa, and daughter Fiona 3 announced the arrival of Silas Eden on June 29 in Falmouth, Mass. I believe Jayne Daigle Jones wins the "most children award" with five little ones. She, husband Vern, and Drew 9, Meaghan 6, Brendan 4, and Daniel 2 welcomed Renee Natalie on July 13. In the "you can go back again" categoiy, Laura Gillespie took a hiatus from her travel job to work at Dartmouth's art library where many other alumni find employment solace. She and other alums are also rowing with the burgeoning Dresden Rowing Club out of the Dartmouth boathouse. Jeff Capwell has been ranked as the top employee benefits lawyer in Richmond, Va., according to the lead article in the July 1999 edition of Richmond Magazine. This was based on a random survey of 2,000 practicing attorn eys in the region. Jeff is a partner in the Richmond office of McGuire Woods Battle & Boodie, L.L.P .Jeff also remains quite active in and committed to alumni activities, currendy serving as vice president and treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of Central Virginia and conducting alumni interviews. Bill Marozas kindly informed me that Tom Stephens recendy became engaged and still lives in Rowayton, Conn., but plans to relocate to Mobile, Ala., this fall. Tom accepted a new job as a site manager with Berkshire Hathaway, managing one of Mr. Buffett's beverag;e industry investments. Helen Shelton is making quite a mark in the public relations arena. She is currendy senior vice president at Ruder-Finn, Arts & Communications Counselors, which specializes in cultural marketing and promotions. Over the years she has created and implemented national and international PR programs for Fortune 500 companies as well as non-profit organizations. Prior to her work at Ruder-Finn, Helen held an appointed position at the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and served as director of public affairs at the Human Resources Development Institute. HermanNarcho wrote that Andy Gora in Colorado is well on his way to being Microsoft-certified as a computer guru. He has passed four out of six tests for this certification. Herman also bumped into Ted Sears, who is an environmental consultant and teaches a class at George Washington University. Jon Underwood met CoreyBrinkema in March for the Tour of Anchorage ski race. Every now and then Jon enjoys getting a Green visitor in the Great Land. AmySingleton Adams received tenure at Holy Cross and was promoted to associate professor of Russian. She's relieved to be on sabbatical during the next academic year to do some research and will be staying mostiy in the Boston area where she and her family lives. SharonBelanger is getting married next spring to Paul Showalter, who is no stranger to Dartmouth, having lived and worked in White River Junction from 1982-1985. They met at Dartmouth during freshman year but then lost track of each other for ten years before meeting up again by chance in the D.C. area. They are both active widi the Arlington Virginia Jaycees as well as other local and national charitable organizations. Trisha (Buzzell) Luing recendy chose to stay home with her three young children (all under age six) and study for her boards in adult and child psychiatry. She finished her fellowship last year and decided to wait a couple years before starting her own private practice. In her free time Trisha serves as president of the board of directors and chairperson of the development committee for the Westmont Montessori School.
