Fall mini-reunion brought the good news that the Tear Bag is again in the hands of Dero Saunders. Dero offered to resume editing the popular newsletter subsequent to George Colton's appeal; his first edition could be out by the time this reaches you. Here are excerpts from Green Cards (more details in the Bag):
Ken Webster, Randolph, Vt, wrote he can't read or drive because of macular degeneration, "However I will attempt to attend class functions." From Bud Fraser at Hilton Head was this comment: "Good to hear Bill Mathers, my best man, is on the team." Yank Price found an error in George's mailing; he lives at 1 Willow Spring Circle, Hanover. Maurie Rapf said his family was coming from the West Coast "for some kind of dinner" when the College honors him (and the late Blair Watson) as founders of the Dartmouth Film Society.
From Doug Ley was the sad news of the death of Ruthie, "a member of '35 from way back." Art Flinner, Catonsville, Md., had a military museum dedicated in his honor in June. Ed Mitchell, Boynton Beach, Fla., was leaving for London to see his daughter: "I've applied at the Inn for June '00 (65th Reunion)." Bill Krieg, Sarasota, wrote, "I hope others are in better shape and will be able to carry the torch."
The 65th Reunion June 9-10, 2000, is taking shape. George Colton, Don Radasch, and Bill Fitzhugh will serve as "honorary co-chairmen," Bill Mathers is general chairman. Bill is organizing the reunion committee "coast to coast"; early volunteers include Dean Couper, Kensington, Md., and Rey Moulton, Portland, Maine
