Not since George Colton bamboozled me three years ago into taking on the job of class secretary has my "news cupboard" been so bare. I have heard from only one classmate, except for Reunion chairman Bill Mathers, in the last month, and that was a call from Jack Donahue, Roxbury, Mass., who was looking for the phone number of his ex-roommate, Norrie Nims, in Florida. One reason for the blackout was a screw-up in an alumni office mailing, which included a Green Card addressed to Dero Saun-ders at his former Forbes magazine office in NYC. Oh well, by the time you get this, 65th Reunion will be about a week or 10 days hence, and those who have signed up will be anticipating an exciting (and likely final) fall- scale reunion of the great class of 1935.
This column is the last one until fall, when DAM goes semi-monthly (six times a year) so between now and then I urge classmates to get me "live" information to write about, in addition of course to a recap of June 9-11.
Our class continues to grow smaller. The College has received notice of the death of the following: Jack Dodge, December 18, 1999; A1 Conklin, January 13, 2000; and Duke Mills, January 15, 2000.
