Christmas seems a long time ago but I have been enjoying rereading cards from MarshallCleaves, who claims "almost every day brings something special and something extra"; Gordon Colby, who with Mary, will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in August with "grands" and "great grands," who occupy a front position in their lives; Chuck Baker, who is as busy as ever; and, of course, Roger Bury, who lives near me when we're in Florida. He and Lolly and Harvey, their beautiful pooch, make sure I'm not hungry! Rog looks great with real pink cheeks, but he would like a new knee.

Sadly, I must report the death of ErnestTheodore Selig Jr. on December 29, 1998.
