Apologies go out to TomMarkworth, who wrote to me a while ago and whose e-mail ended up in cyberspace purgatory. That's why LeeBurns's December 1998 wedding is just now being mentioned in the Alumni Magazine.
Lee married Sarah Hughes in Chattanooga, Tenn., and a bunch of Dartmouth alumni were in attendance, including Tom, Mike Swire,Sanjay Mathew, Don Peck, Matt Brill, Jeff O'Connell '90 and John Banks '90. Lee is the assistant headmaster at the prestigious Christ School in Asheville, N.C.; Alike works at Andersen Consulting in Washington, D.C.; Sanjay is a resident at die Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City; Don has been named executive director of the new Chicago Bulls Museum, and will move to Chicago in June (just kidding—joke from Tom; Don is a director at The Advisory Board in D.C.); and Matt is a telecommunications lawyer with Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in D.C. As for Tom, he's finishing up a degree at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Jason Maloney is the recipient of a Pew Fellowship in International Journalism at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. The fellowships were created to provide journalists with an opportunity to study international affairs and to do in-depth reporting overseas. Jason is an associate producer at ABC News in New York, and he will use the fellowship to travel to Guinea-Bissau to report on African economic development. Finally, if you follow baseball, this will be old news, but for those of you who don't regularly tune into the game, you might want to know that Brad Ausmus has been traded back to the Detroit Tigers after two seasons with the Houston Astros.
