If you haven't already, put the dates June 14-17, 2001, on your calendar and send in the Green Card to reserve your spot at our big 30th reunion this spring. Culinary highlights of our plans so far include a picnic at Storrs Pond, a lunch at the new McLane Ski Lodge and dinners at the DOC house and the Bema. And try to come a day earlier on Wednesday for a great overnight experience at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge—see what our class has done to renovate, expand and endow the Class of '71/Benton Bunkhouse. There are only 65 bunks, and we'll be competing with the class of' 76 on a first-come basis, so get your request in as soon as you receive the mailing in March! For $55 per person you get a bunk, dinner, breakfast, trail lunch for the climb to the 4,800-foot summit and some wonderful memories.
Our dauntless reunion chair, Pete "Weebs" Webster, still maintains we'll break the old 30th reunion record of 139 classmates ("my goal is 150, plus spouses and kids").
And to build momentum for the reunion, the annual spring New York City get together at Rene Pujol will be held a little earlier than usual this year. Mark your Palm Pilots and schedule your business trips so you can join us on Monday, March 5. We're taking over the two upstairs rooms as usual: cocktails at 5:30 and dinner at about 7. Be there and get pumped for reunion (rww@dune-partners. com for details)!

Nels Armstrong is working on "getting more of the African-American brothers of our class involved with us. I have begun to e-mail those whose addresses I have. My major hope is to get as many of them as possible to come to our upcoming mini-reunion in New York and the reunion in June. I spoke to Larry Lewis just the other day. He's living in Detroit and talking about moving south to warmer climates. I've shared e-mail with Willie Bogan, Ike Heard, Bill Mansker, Jim Pendleton, Tom Price, Charlie Johnson, Gene Thibodeaux and Robert Carter in recent times. Here's hoping we will see some of these guys in the near future."
See you at reunion!
