Kia Boxley has joined the ob-gyn staff of Touchette Regional Hospital in Centreville, Illinois. The medical center has received some attention in recent months for its ambitious expansion program, despite the fact that it serves some of the poorest zip codes in America. Kia is one of 18 newphysicians to come on board, and she spends most of her time working with pregnant women from low-income neighborhoods.

Another up-and-coming physician is Stacy Prescott. Following medical school at Georgetown and her residency at UCLA, Stacy joined the emergency room staff of the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. During her time at UCLA, researchers from the television drama ER were frequent observers in the emergency room where she worked. While she has only watched the show once, she does occasionally encounter patients who are disappointed that the real ER isn't more like the one on TV. Stacy and her husband, pilot Mike Zerangue, hope to move back to her home state of Maine within the next five years.

One of the fun things about this job (yes, I'm trying to recruit my replacement—any takers?) is that people send you free stuff. Recently, Mark Henrie was kind enough to send a copy of his most recent Student's Guide to theCore Curriculum, already in its second printing. Mark and his new bride, Claudia, both work at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a conservative educational foundation. He is senior editor of several journals, including Modem Age-A Quarterly Review. Mark and Claudia live in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

That's all the news I have, so the rest of this column will be taken up by advertising:

One of the events our reunion committee is planning in conjunction with the 'Bss and '86s is an open mike night, scheduled for the evening of June 16. You might remember this popular event from our last reunion. Anyone who is interested in performing this time around should contact Rick Joyce '85 at (609) 497-9365 or at richard.a.joyce@ac.com.

Mary Felley wrote to let me know about a new listserv that may interest some of you. The group, called "green-mouth," is an electronic forum for all members of the Dartmouth community who share a concern for the earths deteriorating environment. To join, send a message to majordomo@dartmouth.edu with the following command in the body of the message: "subscribe green-mouth."

Once again, my address has changed, but the e-mail stays the same. I've only got three columns left before passing the torch, so I hope to hear from you!
