There's still time to plan your trip to Hanover for "Another Hurrah!" as chairman Jack Corwith has labeled our 60th reunion June 10-12. He's got a terrific program lined up and a group of talented and experienced classmates to help pull it off. It's your chance to visit with old friends you haven't seen in quite a while. The letter from Jack last year gave many of the details and the response was great: He received 88 Green Cards, with 65 of these saying they would be coming (most with wives). And don't forget to join in the fun at a post-reunion celebration at The Balsams, the famous New England resort in New Hampshire, from June 12-14. Additional information concerning cost, lodging and program details will soon be in your hands, if not already.

Dick Lee forwarded an interesting letter he received from Richard Ensor concerning the tragic events of 9/11 in New York. Richard lives a quarter of a mile from Ground Zero. At 8145 a.m. he heard a powerful blast. From his terrace he saw the North Tower of the World Trade Center ablaze, pouring out black smoke, but no airplane. Then the South Tower was struck, but he couldn't see that plane either, hidden as it was by the tower. He called two friends who told him two planes had hit the Trade Center. Following the collapse of the buildings he watched crowds of people running down Fulton Street pursued by black smoke. He added: "A little while later the whole area was completely socked in by a dense fog of white dust. So suddenly a huge chunk of the New York skyline, and an important part of my neighborhood, was no more. At the end there was no light, no power, no phone, no water, no nothing. I went to bed with a candle and a Walkman."

Ruth and Ed Doty are now in a retirement home in Buffalo. Ed says there are a number of people there from Sylvania Electric, his former employer, and it's a good home with nice apartment and OK food.
