My pleas have been answered! Not only do I have a fair amount of news from fellow 955, but some of the news comes from those living overseas. First, news from Alexandra (Morgan) Mareiniss, who is married to Darren Mareiniss '94. Alexandra tells me that Dan Glazer and Michele Higgins (Rutgers-Newark Law grad), were married on September 21, 2002.The wedding party included Alexandra, Cliff Weiss and Bill Hall '96. Both Michele and Dan work in law firms in N.Y.C. and the couple recently bought a house in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Dan received publicity as a commentator on the previously threatened possible baseball strike. In the fall of 2002 he published the op-ed "Ballpark Figures" in the Wall Street Journal and The National (Canada)Post, was quoted in The New York Times, and made multiple television appearances on CNN, MSNBC and Fox. Alexandra also says that Rory Goode moved from the Washington, D.C., area to Las Vegas, Nevada, last May and, in the midst of all of that, managed to study for and pass the Nevada bar. Rory is a securities and transactional associate at a Las Vegas law firm and is living close to the Las Vegas Strip.
Brooke Elsa (Brightly) Woodall and her husband, Mark, had their second child, a son named Leyton Timothy, last November. Their first child, Phoebe, is 2 1/2 years old. Elsa works part-time from home as an attorney and Mark is a patent attorney in Virginia. They recently bought a house in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Next, Chant ell Dalpe wrote to say that in the fall of 2002 she married Eric Fung (Harvard '95). The couple met in medical school in Buffalo—in gross anatomy lab (oh, the romance of it all!). Chantell says that there was a large Dartmouth turnout at her wedding. Jodi Walker was a bridesmaid, and Gina Vetere did a reading. Other '95 attendees included: Susan Warhover, Paulette Salmon, Cheryl Flick, Joanna Cline, Kelli Whealan, Michale Glennon, Lissa Trumbull, Michele Marinak, Laurie (Sedillos) Vander-Veen and Jeff Crisan (married to Jodi Walker). Since then Chantell has completed fouryears of ob/gyn residency in Syracuse, New York. She will be taking some time off before starting a job in private practice in Syracuse in order to spend time with her new baby boy, Maxwell, born in May. From France, Patrick Turcotte wrote to say that he has been playing professional hockey there since we graduated. Originally Patrick anticipated that he would travel around Europe playing hockey. Things have notworked out exactly as he planned. He got married on May 6, 2000, to Isabelle Savoye, whom he met while playing hockey. They have two children: Hugo, who is almost 5, and Lucie, who is 4 months old. They live in the southern Alps between Grenoble and Marseille. For the past two years Patrick has been the owner of the largest hockey-related store in France. His store can be found at the following Web site: www.promoglace.com. Patrick can be contacted at3, rue Capitainede Bresson 05000 Gap France, phone:01133492561570, e-mail: patrick.turcottei @caramail.com. Kevin Lapin, also living in France, wrote to say that he has finished two years of acting chool but is staying in Paris to create a show with a fellow classmate. It will be a two-man show based on math, designed to be performable in a school classroom. Their idea is to create a show that is first and foremost theater but also inspired by mathematical concepts or historical events. The show will probably be finished in early September 2003. He hopes to perform it several times in a theater, previewed by teachers and administrators. Ultimately, he hopes to perform his show in schools. Finally, Jennifer Main wrote that she is living in the Burlington, Vermont, area with her husband, Nate Ayer. They will both finish their residency in general internal medicine this year. They have decided to move to southern Vermont at the end of the year to share a position in general medicine in Rutland. They are looking forward to moving to a smaller community, in the mountains, next to the Long Trail, Appalachian Trail and Killington/Pico ski areas. They are also expecting their first child this winter. Thanks for all ofyour news. As always, send more!
