As you read this, there may still be time to make the February mini-reunion in Hanover, the weekend of the 21st through 23rd. The fall mini is scheduled for the 3rd through the sth of October, and I urge you join us for the usual good time.

Following past practice in this column, here is another biography of a classmate, picked at random from the 50th reunion book. Leo Appel resides in Rye, New Hampshire, where he has lived for many years with his wife, Lee. After graduation as a Naval ROTC ensign, he reported to Newport, Rhode Island, where he was assigned to a destroyer. He had two tours of duty in Korea. Upon leaving the Navy in 1953, he joined an automobile agency in Boston and then acquired his own Buick agency in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Leo spent his entire career with the agency until his retirement in 1981. In the late '7os he served two terms in the New Hampshire legislature. In retirement he took up tennis, served in the local chapter of SCORE and is president of a 70-bed retirement center and nursing home in his community. He and Lee travel and enjoy visits with their six children and eight grandchildren.

At last Octobers meeting of the executive committee, Bob Mcllwain presented the following outline of the proposed Outreach Program for review and discussion by the class. The key elements of the presentation were as follows. The Outreach Program is intended to be an individual and a class program. We will encourage classmates and their families to identify those in need and try to provide help where we can. Need can be broadly defined as social, emotional and physical. Acommittee has been formed to coordinate the program. This group includes the newsletter editor, class secretary, class president and at least one wife or widow. Walt Lidenthal's wife, Rose Mary, has agreed to chair the program. Classmates are urged to comment on any aspects of the program. That's about it for my last writing in 2002 and your first reading in '03. Hope its a great year for you and yours.
